This year's policy direction focus will be realized

Kimhae Mayor Heo Seong-gon began his first on-site visit of the new year with a visit to a company. This is in line with the city’s focus this year on revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs, with citizen happiness as its top priority.

On the 10th, Mayor Heo visited World Tube Co., Ltd., a smart factory in Gomori Techno Valley, Jinrye-myeon, and Sewon Metal Co., Ltd., a global powerhouse, to listen to voices from the field and encourage workers.

Worldtube is a company that produces hydraulic pipes for heavy equipment, and Sewon Metal is a company that produces automobile and ship parts. As of 2017, their annual sales amounted to approximately 20 billion won and 50 billion won, respectively.

On this day, Sewon Metal is known to have suggested expanding support for management stabilization funds, while World Tube suggested support for investment costs in the automation facility sector.

Mayor Huh will not stop at visiting these two companies, but plans to visit excellent export companies, excellent job creation companies, new industry companies, and smart farms this month to hear about their growth know-how and find ways to apply it to the growth of other companies.

Mayor Huh said, “Through this visit, we will once again review current issues regarding job creation, regional economic revitalization, and future new industries, and support the establishment and dissemination of an advanced technology database that will enable local companies to leap forward as strong companies.”
