The awards ceremony was held in the city hall conference room on the morning of the 1st, the same day as the city's regular November assembly.
At the beginning of each month, the city presents the CEO of the Month Award to the CEO of a company that has contributed to regional development through its own technological prowess or outstanding management skills.
Sewon Metal, located in the Gimhae Techno Valley General Industrial Complex in Jinrye-myeon, Gimhae-si, is a company that produces automobile engine pistons and was established in 1995.
By registering a patent for the new concept of hot forging technology, hot precision thin wall forming technology, and developing the only hot forged steel piston for automobiles and heavy equipment in Korea, the company received the most prestigious Technology Award from the Korean Society for Plasticity and Engineering, and is a global powerhouse recognized for its world-class technology, maintaining a 60% global market share among engine manufacturers.
The representative improved productivity by improving processes, including building automated facilities that meet global trends through continuous facility investment.
In addition, the company is committed to continuous investment and technological development, such as investing 3.5% of its sales in R&D through government R&D projects linked to research institutes to develop new products and build growth engines for the company, while also contributing to the economic development of the local community by cooperating with local businesses to achieve mutual growth.
